cleaning, and how much does it cost?

- Do
you have any idea how to get furniture dents out of carpet?
- Here's how:
- Get a bowl of ice cubes. (See Tips below FIRST).
- Lay the ice cubes along the dented areas of carpeting.
Place cubes about 2 inches apart.
- Let sit several hours or overnight until cubes
are completely melted.
- Vacuum carpet only after it is fully dry.
- Carpet fibers should now be returned to their
normal upright position.
- Reapply ice cubes if needed.
- Tips:
- ALWAYS TEST this method first with one ice cube
in an inconspicuous spot.
- BE CAREFUL if you have wood floors underneath!
Test first to make sure moisture does not damage
the wood!
- DO NOT use this method on hand dyed rugs, antique
carpets, delicate or valuable rugs, or on fibers
not compatible with water cleaning.

ProTeam

- What
is the warranty of a ProTeam backpack vacuum?
- The basic warranty of a ProTeam backpack vacuums is
one year on parts and labour for manufacturer defects.
- What
is CFM?
- CFM: Is "cubic feet per minute". It is the
measure that we use for airflow in vacuum cleaners.
The higher the number the more airflow. There are certain
parameters that control or restrict CFM, such as pressure,
size of the hose, and how many bends.
- What
is water lift?
- Water lift is also referred to as static lift or inches
of water. The vacuum cleaner industry uses inches of
water lift to measure the vacuum force. This means that
if you stick a tube in a bucket of water and hook a
vac motor to the other end and turn it on, it will suck
a column of water "x" inches high. Thus the
term water lift.
- What
is HEPA filtration?
- HEPA is an acronym for "high-efficiency particulate
air". It is a measure of filtration efficiency
and defined as 99.97% at 0.3 micron. Which means that
it has to capture 99.97% of all particulate that is
0.3 microns or larger. A micron is 1/1,000,000 of a
meter.
- What
is the difference between HEPA filtration and using a high
filtration disc?
- Pro-Team offers an almost HEPA filter media disc that
fits inside the dome filter. This filter does not provide
true HEPA filtration, but does give their Super CoachVac
99.79% particulate filtration at .3 microns for a fraction
of the cost of a HEPA vacuum. The filters come hermetically
sealed in packages of two, protecting them from being
contaminated.

Skin Care Products

- Why
do I need skin care products?
- Occupational skin disease accounts for 15% to 20%
of all reported occupational diseases and is vastly
underreported by employees. There is virtually no occupation
or industry without potential exposure to the many substances
that cause dermatitis, which is overwhelmingly the most
common cause of occupational skin disease. By using
skin care products like protective creams, skin-friendly
cleansers, and aftercare lotions, the chances of developing
skin diseases are greatly reduced.
- Why
should I buy STOKO® Skin Care products?
- Stockhausen, Inc. has been a world leader in skin
care since 1935, when they developed the first synthetic
detergent, which is much more skin compatible than regular
soap. Their commitment to excellence is proven by their
10% investment of sales in research and development.
In addition, 20% of their employees are dedicated to
working on products for the future. Their Quality Control
Department abides by standards 10 times greater than
the government recommends. STOKO® Skin Care has
developed several products specifically for use in certain
industries and are designed to help protect, clean and
moisturize leaving the skin in good condition, even
at the end of a hard working day.
- STOKO®
Skin Care products have the reputation of being expensive,
do they really cost more than alternative products?
- It is not true that these products are more expensive
for several reasons. First, these hand cleaners are
very concentrated, which means you use less product
per wash. Second, a proper skin care program can dramatically
reduce skin disease in the workplace, thereby saving
money on issues such as lost work time and productivity.
Third, the dispensers are designed to dispense only
the amount of product needed for effective use, keeping
usage costs and the cost of time to refill dispensers
down. Using STOKO® Skin Care products will save
you money.
- What
is a "Before Work" product and why do I need one?
- A before work cream is applied before starting work
and helps to soothe the skin when working with harmful
workplace substances. The cream or lotion not only helps
keep substances from breaking down the skin's integrity,
but it also can make cleaning up afterwards much easier.
Before Work products usually only last 2 to 3 hours,
so you should wash your hands and reapply after that
period of time.
- Why
would a man need to use a moisturizing lotion or cream?
- Skin that is dry and/or cracked is not only a cosmetic
issue but also a health issue. Very dry/cracked skin
can allow dangerous workplace substances and bacteria
that cause skin disease to enter the skin. STOKO®
Skin Care conditioning products work to replace lost
oils and moisture - providing a revitalizing, healing,
and conditioning effect that helps keep the skin healthy
and smooth, a benefit that shouldn't be reserved just
for women.

- Walnut shell scrubbers provide strong cleansing power

shell scrubbers are not harsh on the skin like pumice,
plastic, sand, or wood flour. Our walnut shell scrubbers
are bleached to ensure quality and cleanliness and are
100% biodegradable. Some other scrubbers like pumice

are not biodegradable but walnut shell powder will not
clog sinks and drains.

institutional setting. We even have a cleanser specifically
formulated for the needs of employees in the food processing
industry. Check out our STOKO® Products page.

Washroom Care

- What
is perhaps the biggest misconception about restroom cleaning?
- One big misconception is, "If a restroom smells
good, it must be clean and healthy." Not true.
A dirty and unhealthy restroom can be sprayed with pleasant-smelling
deodorants and fool our noses into thinking that the
restroom environment is clean, sanitary, and healthy
when it is not.
by Roger McFadden
- How
do you know when a public restroom is clean?
- Generally speaking, the restroom is clean when it
meets your cleaning standards. Read below for some good restroom cleaning standards.
by Roger McFadden
- Scientifically
speaking, what is the definition of a clean restroom?
- A clean restroom is a neat, orderly, and healthy environment
free of unwanted substances, pollutants, residues, and
odours. Cleaning is an activity, a process, and a form
of management. Clean restrooms don't happen by accident.
It takes good planning and management to provide safe,
clean, and healthy restroom facilities.
by Roger McFadden
- Is
physical cleaning more important than disinfecting?
- Proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures go hand
in hand to provide a clean and healthy restroom environment.
Cleaning is the process of removing unwanted substances
from the restroom and putting them in their proper place.
Disinfecting is the process of killing and destroying
unwanted germs (pathogenic microrganisms).
by Roger McFadden
- What
causes poor restroom-cleaning results?
- A failure to adequately identify and communicate cleaning
standards to staff. Unless standards are clearly defined,
stated, and understood, they can never be achieved.
The cleaning staff must know the appearance and performance
expectations in advance and be trained accordingly.
by Roger McFadden

- Some
of the images are too small to see anything...
- Some of our images are expandable thumbnails. If you

Easy.
- What's
the deal with all the "Under Construction" and
unfinished pages?
- When we switched to our new host and decided it was
time to update and redesign our website, we thought
the top priority was getting every page from our old

pasted to avoid any discrepancies. Therefore, there
is still a lot of work to be done and only one webmaster

slowly but surely being updated, changed, and maintained,
but it is a long and continuous process. Remember, if
